What is Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?

Correcting improper function of the tongue and facial muscles.  Involves strengthening tongue and facial muscles by showing individuals how to engage muscles properly through exercises to correct muscles related to breathing, speaking, proper tongue posture, swallowing and facial appearance.  When orofacal muscles are functioning properly we see improvements in sleep, posture, eating and swallowing.

Improper function of muscles and mouth breathing can result in and

contribute to conditions such as:

○ TMJ / Facial pain

○ Tension in neck / shoulders
