TMJ/Facial Pain
TMJ/Facial can be caused through muscle dysfunction. When orofacial muscles are not operating properly it can cause stress on the jaw and neck muscles.
When our jaw isn't being supported by our tongue, our body compensates by moving our lower jaw and neck forward to open airway, which causes strain on surrounding muscles and joints.
WHY MYO?
It has been proven that OMT exercises strengthen facial muscles properly and can help decrease pain because we have that proper support for the jaw.

When we achieve the goals of myofunctional therapy such as nose breathing and tongue placement our muscles work in sync and release tension in accessory muscles.
